Everyday conversations: milestone review
“Long time no see. How have you been holding up lately?”

When you need this
You've reached the end of Everyday Conversations. Across six units you've practiced greetings, the weather, plans, movies, hobbies, home life, family, health, and a full range of feelings. That's most of what friends, neighbors and coworkers talk about on an ordinary day.
This page pulls one or two lines from each part of the journey. Read them in order and notice how a real conversation moves: a greeting leads to small talk, small talk leads to plans, and somewhere along the way someone asks "How are you, really?" The feelings lines from this unit are what turn a polite chat into a real one.
Use it as a checklist. If a line feels comfortable, say it once and move on. If it feels stiff, say it five times, then use it with a real person this week. Lines stay in your memory when you've said them to someone who answered.
