You can read an article or follow a film, and then someone asks you a question and nothing comes out. The lessons here are built for that moment: learners from roughly A2 to B2 who want to speak, not only to understand.
What you will find
Sentence patterns you can reuse every day, real conversations from shops, offices, airports and interviews, listening practice at three speeds, idioms, pronunciation, grammar for speaking, and more than two thousand word pages with the words that go with them. Every lesson is short, and every one ends with a single line to use in real life that day.
The English we teach
American English: American spelling, pronunciation and vocabulary. The people in the lessons come from everywhere: New York and London, Tokyo and Shanghai, Mumbai and São Paulo, because English is how the world talks to itself.
The audio
Every sentence has audio, at normal and slow speed, with each word lit as it is spoken. The voices are generated speech for now. Recorded human voices are on the way, starting with the pronunciation lessons.
