Meaning
When something is "written all over your face", your feelings are completely obvious from your expression, even if you haven't said a word. The picture is a face like a page, with your emotion printed across it in big letters. People say it when you are trying to hide something, like excitement, guilt, worry or love, and failing.
It is informal and usually affectionate, often with a smile. It can be teasing: "You like him. That's written all over your face." It can be caring: "Something's wrong. Worry is written all over your face." Be a little careful in front of other people. Pointing out someone's hidden feelings in a group can embarrass them. Said one to one, it opens a door to talk.
