When you need this

Teeth come up in more conversations than you'd expect: a hygienist asking about your routine, a parent negotiating bedtime with a six-year-old, a roommate who keeps borrowing your toothpaste. The words are ordinary, but the verbs are specific. You brush your teeth, you floss between them, you rinse your mouth. Get those three right and most of these conversations fall into place.

Notice how people talk about their own habits here. They soften and admit things: "I try to floss, but not every night." Nobody expects a perfect answer, and the honest, slightly guilty version is what people really say.
