When you need this

Once a party starts, the conversations are short and move fast. You greet the host, meet people you don't know, find something to talk about, and at the end you thank everyone on the way out. Each part has its own phrases, and having them ready gives you room to relax and enjoy yourself.

As a guest, the main thing is appreciation: "Thanks for having me" when you arrive and when you leave. As a host, it's making people comfortable: "Help yourself" and "Can I get you anything?" Those two lines do more work at a party than anything else.
