When you need this

Planning meals for a week is a small negotiation. One person wants to save money, another wants something new, and somebody always forgets they have a late meeting on Wednesday. The phrases here help you suggest, agree, push back and fit the plan around real life.

Listen for how people suggest instead of decide. "How about...?" and "We could..." leave space for the other person to say no. When you do disagree, give a reason ("I had that for lunch") rather than a flat "no"; it keeps the planning friendly.
