When you need this

In a bigger office, mail doesn't come to your desk. It goes to a mail room or the front desk, where someone sorts it, signs for packages, and sends out whatever needs to go. You'll talk to that team when you're waiting for something important, when you need to send a contract overnight, or when a box with your name on it has gone missing.

The key verbs are small: drop off, pick up, sign for, send out. Be specific about deadlines, because the mail room works on a timetable. "The last pickup is at four" means anything that arrives at four fifteen goes tomorrow. And be kind to the people who work there. They're the reason your package turns up at all, and they remember who says thank you.
