The pattern
"It's my turn to" plus a verb says that, fairly, this one is yours. "It's my turn to pay" at the end of a meal. "It's my turn to cook" at home. The idea is taking turns: you did it last time, now I do it. It is friendly, and it keeps things even between friends, roommates and partners.
Change the person to hand the job over: "It's your turn to do the dishes." Put it in a question to check: "Whose turn is it to walk the dog?" And the fixed phrase "Take turns" describes the whole system.
