When you need this

Pregnancy comes with a lot of appointments, and each one is a conversation: checking in, answering questions about how you've been, and asking your own. This lesson gives you the language for those visits. The medical decisions belong to you and your care team; the English here is about making sure you understand them and are understood.

The most useful habit in any appointment is asking again when something isn't clear. "Sorry, could you go over that again?" and "What does that mean for us?" are normal questions, and doctors and midwives expect them.
