When you need this

Selling a car to a stranger means a phone call, a visit, a test drive and a conversation about price. Buyers ask about history and condition; you answer honestly and hold your price without sounding stubborn. The same phrases work if you're the buyer, so learn both sides.

Price talk in English is usually softened. A seller says "I'm asking eight thousand" rather than "It costs eight thousand", which signals there's a little room to move. A buyer says "Would you take seven?" instead of "I'll pay seven". Both sides know the dance, and the polite phrasing keeps it friendly.
