XiaoLiam

Practice · 3 min

Shadow Liam first. He's organized and eager, and his lines move the plan forward: "Yes. And a car from the hotel..." Keep that forward energy. Then take Xiao's part. She's the one who catches problems; let "Wait" be quick and firm, then soften back into planning.

  1. XiaoLiam, the supplier from Munich lands on Monday morning. Can you arrange their visit?
  2. LiamSure. How many people are coming?
  3. XiaoThree. Their head of quality, an engineer and their sales manager.
  4. LiamOkay. I'll book the big meeting room for Monday afternoon.
  5. XiaoWait. Monday afternoon the big room is taken. The safety auditors are here all day.
  6. LiamAh. Then the small room on the second floor?
  7. XiaoIt only seats four, and we'll be six. Let's move the meeting to Tuesday morning.
  8. LiamSo Monday they rest after the flight, and Tuesday we meet. That's probably better anyway.
  9. XiaoMuch better. Can you arrange a car from the airport to their hotel?
  10. LiamYes. And a car from the hotel to the factory on Tuesday at eight thirty.
  11. XiaoGood. After the meeting, they want a walkthrough of the production line.
  12. LiamThey'll need safety shoes and glasses for that. Should I ask for their shoe sizes?
  13. XiaoGood thinking. Email them today and ask.
  14. LiamAnd lunch? Should I book somewhere outside, or order in?
  15. XiaoTake them out. It's their first time in Shenzhen. The dumpling place across the road is perfect.
  16. LiamI'll book it for twelve thirty. Anything else?
  17. XiaoConfirm everything in one email by Friday. Times, addresses, and a phone number for you.
  18. LiamWill do. I'll send you a copy before it goes out.

Say it today

Use it once in a real conversation before tomorrow. Out loud counts, even to yourself.
