Take Kai's part first, then Zoe's. This is a phone call, so there are no faces. The voices carry everything. Zoe is warm and professional; Kai is polite but clearly in pain. Copy her cheerful "You're in luck" and his quick worry in "Oh, wait."

6. KaiNot really. I have a pain in one of my back teeth. It started on Saturday.
7. ZoeI'm sorry to hear that. The first appointment I have is in three weeks.
8. KaiThree weeks? I don't think I can wait that long. I couldn't sleep last night.
9. ZoeIs the pain very bad? On a scale of one to ten?
10. KaiAbout a seven. Worse when I drink anything cold.

12. KaiSure. Thank you.
13. ZoeYou're in luck. We've just had a cancellation at four-fifteen today.
14. KaiToday? That's great. Oh, wait. I have a meeting at four.
